HandBlock Typeface

Inspired by the playfulness of arranging individual wood type letters, I created HANDBLOCK — a pair of typefaces that contains four variations of uppercase letterforms. By combining a mixture of uppercase and lowercase letters with HANDBLOCK regular, bold, or both, you can create uniquely weighted headlines, strong emphatic quotes, and other typographic elements full of bold personality.

HANDBLOCK contains two font files (regular and bold) in .ttf and .otf file formats; it also contains 3 pre-packaged @font-face kits (regular, bold, both) for web implementation. You’re free to use this in commercial & personal work (please review the EULA doc in the zip package), but please don’t redistribute or resell this typeface. HANDBLOCK currently only supports the English language.

You can buy HandBlock for $15 in my shop starting today. Enjoy!

Renegade Craft Fair Austin 2012

A couple of weeks ago, Morgana and I participated in our first ever Renegade Craft Fair with our Satchel & Sage goods. We had an incredibly wonderful experience, and are so grateful to all the people that stopped by to visit our booth and took something home. Here are some shots of our set up!

We decided to feature several new items at the fair which included the following: silk-screened posters, textiles, hand-stamped cards, tote bags, and more. These items will be available on our Satchel & Sage Etsy shop later this Summer.

The illustrated chalkboard display was labor intensive to make, but the final result made it worth the effort. Here’s a few shots of the process, which took about 6-8 hours.

If you’d like to see more photos, check out the full Flickr photo set put together by the nice folks of Renegade. Enjoy!
