Hope to see you there!
Two weeks ago, I finished up a new illustrative series of woodland creatures. Today, I’m pleased to announce that they are available for sale over on the etsy shop that I share with my wife, Satchel & Sage. You can buy 1 print, a set of 3, or all 12. Here are a few photos of the goods. A special thank you to my amazing wife, Morgana, who did a beautiful job staging the photographs. Enjoy!
I started a new print series with the intention of experimenting with a photographic collage technique to illustrate woodland creatures. The vintage photo elements used were the following: forest scenes, botanical pieces, patterns, sheet music, instruments, feathers, butterflies, and paintings of nature.
I created a weathered forest scene to provide a natural ambiance as the background, and all of the animals received a gentle halftone to imbue them with the spirit of the past.
Here are all 12 critters in the order that they were created (top to bottom): Rabbit, Bear, Fox, Deer, Squirrel, Moose, Beaver, Hedgehog, Skunk, Raccoon, Boar, and Wolf.
