M&C Tutorial: Crafting a Textured Halftone Look

Today, I’m delighted to announce the release of a second video tutorial on Method & Craft that I produced called Crafting a Textured Halftone Look. This design piece titled “Vous êtes belle” is dedicated to my wife, who is the most beautiful person in the world to me.

Using some custom hand-drawn type, I walk through some techniques that will help you distress and roughen your vectors, create a halftone-like vector pattern, create 2 types of halftone effects in Photoshop, and blend them all together to make a unique custom look.

Now, go watch the video.

Sharpie Letterkit

I created 15 slides for a presentation yesterday using a fat sharpie pen, and then decided to compile a big set of letters (and numbers) to share. If you don’t feel like picking up a sharpie and scanning in some writing, you can use this vector kit to put together a hand-drawn look for presentations and other marketing: for free!

Download the free Sharpie Letterkit on Designmoo.

Here’s a preview of what the vector document contains:

In addition to the Letterkit, I also produced a few illustrated numbers which are also available for free download on Designmoo here.

UPDATE:
Thanks to Joe, the best characters of this Sharpie Letterkit have been turned into a basic font, available for free download here.
