Recently, I was approached by Amanda Brown, the owner of Spruce, and her creative filmographer, Chris Hatcher, to help them design packaging for the first installment of their how-to instructional DVD series on reupholstering furniture. Amanda and her team are truly experts at their creative craft, and really nice, laid back Austin folk as well!

The concept was to create an asymmetrical grid of visuals that bring the content of the video to the outside of the packaging. On the front cover, the tools and raw chair “skeleton” are shown above Amanda and the finished product to give a broad sense of the process in the video. On the back, the before and after shots for the two reupholstery projects in the video are shown. For the inside, I re-created one of the historic fabric patterns used in the DVD to create big visual impact and excitement around the disc.

Here’s a peek at one of the initial sketches that the final design was based on:

For their annual international festival, Central Market chose to highlight the culinary brilliance of Spain in 2011. I concepted and designed a promotional home page takeover, a recommended products experience for mobile, pandora advertising, and an education-based stores page.
View the entire project here.

During Valentine’s weekend, Central Market hosts their annual chocolate festival. This year, I concepted and designed an interactive campaign based around the idea of “products giving love notes to chocolate” through in-store mobile and .com interactive experiences.
Customers could discover love notes to chocolate and use their mobile phone to enter 6 chances to win a chocolate gift basket. In total, the campaign featured .com and mobile interactive work, printed signs with QR codes, and product illustrations. See the full campaign here.

Recently finished designing a new wedding page template theme for WeddingJoJo.com. The design uses soft laid paper and illustrative touches to give a crafted, stylish look. The theme includes 4 color choices to offer brides a chance to match their wedding page to their invitations. See all four templates here.
